Marshall Fields Ozark Pudding

From a Marshall Fields recipe card:

Ozark Pudding (4-6 servings)

1/3 cup pre-sifted flour
1-1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp		 salt
1				 egg
3/4 cup 	 sugar
1/2 cup	 chopped nuts
1/2 cup	 chopped apples
1	tsp		 vanilla 

1. Preheat oven to 325°. Grease a 1 qt. casserole.
2. Onto a piece of waxed paper sift together flour, baking powder
     and salt.
3. In mixing bowl, beat egg and sugar until light and creamy. Add
    flour mixture; blend well. Fold in apples, nuts and vanilla.
	Turn into casserole. Bake 30 minutes.
4.  Serve with either whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
